The Press reports it, I just reprint it:

The secret is out. WOR radio and The New York Times break sweet story! On Wednesday February 6, 2002 New York Times reporter Melissa Clark wrote a wonderful story about marshmallow, titled "Sweet Clouds Brought down to Earth" This article appeared in the Dining Out section of the New York Times. Since the story "broke", we have received calls and emails from coast to coast as well as Canada. The enthusiasm of these people has been rejuvenating. I have taken many of the calls and it has been a pleasure to speak with so many chocolate lovers, from around the country. As I have said, "Chocolate is the key to world peace". Don't just think about it do something about it. Give a piece of chocolate to a total stranger and watch their eyes light up.

On Friday and Saturday February 8 & 9, Wor radio's Arthur Schwartz of foodmaven.com the host of Food Talk and award winning broadcast journalist and restaurant reviewer Joan Hamburg on separate shows spoke glowingly about JoMart Buttercrunch, Marshmallows and other sinful delights. I would like to publicly thank Melissa, Arthur and Joan for their introduction to so many chocolate lovers around the country. "Thank you"

This year Zagat introduced their inaugural Brooklyn Edition. The publishers insisted that JoMart Chocolates be included for all to see, (and survey). So, get out there and survey us! In addition, we are now part of the New York City Marketplace guide. Thank you Zagat. Check them out at zagat.com.

We continue to have new and exciting experiences. Several years ago, we filmed a holiday special with The Food Network. This year we have already filmed two upcoming episodes with two of the best shows on The Food Network. Look for us on Follow That Food with Gordon Elliot, and Paula's Home Cooking with Paula Deens. The experiences were exciting and fun. Thank you to all of our new friends at The Food Network, foodnetwork.com.

From time to time my friends, customers and other members of the JoMart family want to know what new morsels of joy we've made. Sometimes we make something wonderful, which everyone loves, and other times we will embark on a confectionery journey for a special event, which is never shared with our friends and family. Now there is a place to share these goodies. On this page, from time to time you will find out what's new, interesting or just different.

This year JoMart Chocolates celebrates its 60th anniversary. There have been many exciting changes. Our website (jomartchocolates.com) continues to evolve. We have tried to respond to all of you helpful suggestions. You keep suggesting, and we'll keep improving. There have been changes in our retail store as well. We continue to expand the "For you and yours" line of pure chocolate novelties. This selection of chocolate novelties focused on hobbies, occupations, favorite pastimes, and other meaningful events.

The individual selections range from gifts for specific professions (police officer, doctor, plumber, fireman, accountant, EMT) to sports (baseball, hockey, darts) to special events (new house, new car), and finally to remember the special people in our lives (cat lover, dog groomer, cowboy, and beautician) For You and Yours is the perfect gift for the special people in our lives. The selection is growing each day. Tell us what you need. No Problem.

There has been a recent upsurge in home activities. Due to high demand, we have enlarged our candy making and cake decorating supplies department.

Our Chocolate Classes have recently been expanded. It is now a 4 or 5 night short course in chocolate making.

The key to world peace is chocolate. Think about it.
