There are definite perks to being a candymaker. Watching people smile after tasting something you just made, or seeing the look on someone's face when they open a box of their favorite chocolates. But if you are a candymaker and you are looking to name one of your newest creations, you can always name it after someone special.
In 1983 my dad made a new item. It had a layer of caramel and a layer of marshmallow, dipped in chocolate and topped with granulated roasted almonds. And when he needed a name, he called them Laurenettes, after his newest granddaughter, Lauren.
