People who grew up in the 50's and 60's did not have a lot of chocolate choices, mainly buying their fill from a supermarket or deli. One of the standards in New York was the jelly graham. Though sometimes tasteless, it was part of many of our childhood's. It was hard to tell the wonderful ones from the tasteless ones. Now there is a simple way to enjoy a jelly graham: Pick some up at JoMart.
Layered with a graham cracker and dipped in milk or dark chocolate. Who could ask for anything more?
We still make our own raspberry jelly, using Michael's grandfather Poppy Julie's original recipe. Our Raspberry Jelly is made to be a tart jelly, it is not sweet. Although too tart for some, it remains a favorite.
